For over thirty years, Architectural Antiques has taken satisfaction in knowing that each antique architectural element that passes through our store is on its way to a new environment where it will be even more appreciated than the home it recently was removed from.
For those who believe that a single element has the ability to transform a room or building into something of beauty and harmony, then Architectural Antiques is the place for you . . . a place where that transformation is elevated to an art form.

wood.jpgNow, while I admit that an antique architectural element is not a painting to be hung on a wall, it is still art!

Think about it for a minute.  You're surrounded by this revitalized bit of the past every day.  It celebrates life and work!  It has the power to edify and inspire all around it!  All it takes is a single piece of the past to magically convert sterile environments.  For this reason alone some of the top designers in the country shop at our store.

"Integrating Past Environments into Yours" . . .
these are far more that just words to us at Architectural Antiques.
Creating new environments that fit your life is a job we take seriously.

Our philosophy is to do more than just salvage items from homes and buildings slated for destruction.
"We take great pleasure in giving back to the very communities we salvage from!  We truly believe that by integrating a single element, we can edify and inspire... celebrating life, work and helping to create memories & romance.
The enjoyment of transforming a sterile environment from that single piece of the past.  Now, to me that is magic."

Salvaging antique architectural elements is certainly not new to Architectural Antiques.

Former owner Don Riggott, now retired, started the architectural and salvage business more than 30 years ago when he began selling stained glass windows at flea markets and to collectors.  "Back then it was definitely a one man show," reflects Riggott.  Today things have changed considerably from when Riggott would search out buildings ready for destruction, purchase the salvage rights and then remove the materials by himself.

Today's staff at Architectural Antiques takes great satisfaction in salvaging items, many of them historic and most that would otherwise have been destroyed or simply delivered to a local landfill.  They take pride in finding creative ways to reuse and integrate antique salvaged architectural elements.  They strive to make an impact on the very communities where many buildings are demolished.
